João Cancelo, the Portuguese midfielder who recently joined Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, is making his debut for the team in their opening game against Al-Nassr on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Cancelo was one of the standout performers during Manchester City's Champions League campaign last season and was heavily linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium this summer.
However, he opted to join Al Hilal instead, where he will be reunited with former Portugal international Nani.
Cancelo made his debut for Al Hilal on Saturday, starting in midfield as they faced Al-Nassr at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. The match ended in a draw, with both teams scoring in regulation time.
Despite not getting on the scoresheet himself, Cancelo showed promise throughout the match, showing good technique and composure on the ball.
He also had a chance to showcase his attacking prowess when he was brought on as a substitute in the second half, but unfortunately, the match ended in a draw.
Overall, Cancelo's performance in his debut for Al Hilal was solid, and it will be interesting to see how he performs over the course of the season.
